Art Therapy:

Art therapy can be a way to communicate what often cannot be expressed with just words. I offer a variety of media and materials to utilize during the art therapy process such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and fiber arts.

Formal art instruction/training is not needed to attend art therapy sessions. Art therapy emphasizes the process of art making and self-expression rather than the finished product. If you’d like more information regarding art therapy, please visit: https://arttherapy.org/

Talk Therapy:

I have 10+ years of experience as a therapist. I primarily work utilizing humanistic, feminist, and relational theories.

When working with autistic and/or ADHD clients, I make it a priority to use strength-based approaches that are affirming. This may involve embracing their identities and communication styles, encouraging self-compassion, supporting sensory self-awareness, unmasking, and disability advocacy. Additionally, I provide a supportive space for them to process any neurodivergent trauma they may have experienced.

EMDR :

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) utilizes bilateral stimulation to reprocess negative thoughts, trauma, and other difficult life experiences.

Brainspotting:

Brainspotting is a trauma-focused therapy which uses eye positions to process emotions, trauma, and unresolved issues.

What happens in a session?

Individual sessions cater to the specific requirements of the client. The sessions may involve art creation or conventional talk therapy methods. It could be an all-talk session, an EMDR or Brainspotting session, an all art-making session, or a blend of all four.
